In his book, Broken Music, Sting accurately describes Jimi Hendrix as, " A whirlwind, a tidal wave, an earthquake, and a force of nature." I couldn't agree with him more. It's amazing to think that Hendrix has been dead for nearly 40 years and that he is still cited as the most influential rock and roll guitarist of all time. It's even more amazing when you consider the fact that he recorded just a few studio albums during his short and brilliant lifetime. I've always thought that Hendrix was to the electric guitar and rock and roll what Picasso was to painting. They both came and totally changed everything; it's difficult to imagine what would have happened in their respective fields without them. People such as Picasso and Hendrix provide you with endless possibilities when it comes to music and painting; people like this iluminate the road for the rest of us. Rapidograph in Aquabee.
